Last Saturday, 30th March 2024, Kelso RFC hosted The South vs Glasgow in round 2 of the Inter District Championship. The day kicked off in the clubrooms where we held a pre match lunch. A massive thank you to our caterers, Reiver Country Farm Foods for a lovely meal and the bar staff for keeping everyone's glasses topped up.
During the lunch, former Kelso RFC player Gary Waite was presented with a framed picture of himself in honour of his retrospective cap. Huge congratulations to Gary and we hope you enjoyed your day back down at Poynder Park.
It was great to have members of The South team that defeated Australia 9-6 at Mansfield Park in 1984. Our thanks to David Ferguson who led a question and answer session with The South coach Jonny Gray and former players Keith Robertson & Roger Baird, from that historic day . We also heard from Kelso Coach and former South & Border Reivers captain, Kevin Utterson.
